Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan born as Pervez Fateh Ali Khan. He was born on October 13, 1948. His Birthplace is Lyallpur (Now Faisalabad), Punjab, Pakistan. His Qawwalis are popular. He is known as ‘Shahenshah-e-Qawwali’ or ‘King of Kings of Qawwali’. He used to sing Qawwali, Ghazal, Sufi songs, Classical songs, and Punjabi Folk Songs.
His Famous Punjabi Folk Songs are ‘Kinna Sohna Tenu’, ‘Othe Amla de houne ne nabede’, ‘Akhiyaan Udeek Diyan’, ‘Sanu Ek Pal Chain Na Aawe’, ‘Kiven Mukhre Ton Nazran Hatawan’, ‘Nit Khair Manga Sohneya’ and many more.
He gained the title of ‘Ustad’ at his father’s death anniversary. The famous singer ‘Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’ is his nephew. He left this world on August 16, 1997, in London. He is considered one of the Legendary Singers of Punjab.

He was the first person to sing the ‘Jugni’ Songs. He is known as ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ in Pakistan. His critically acclaimed songs are Mirza Sahiban, Jugni, and Bol Mitti De Baweya.
