1. Aloe Vera gel
Aloe Vera is very beneficial for our skin in winter. You only need to take a slice of aloe vera, scrape the gel, and apply it evenly on your face. It contains Vitamin C, E, and beta-carotene.
All these vitamins help to nourish and also in anti-aging. If your skin gets dry and dehydrated then aloe vera gel is best to recommend. It moist your skin without making it greasy.
2. Physical activity
Physical activity not only keeps you fit but also glow your skin. It helps in intake more oxygen in our body which ultimately enhances the skin and remove toxins.
Also, Yoga, Aerobics, and other exercises enhance our blood circulation. Due to this, fresh blood flows in the body, imparting a warm glow to the face.
3. Exfoliating the skin
Like in summers, it is important in winters also to remove dead skin and plug for smoother skin and clearer pores. So it important to exfoliate both your face as well as your body. Do it at least twice a week or you can do more than usual. Keep in mind that, Exfoliation can be used after cleanser and before moisture.
4. Balanced diet
Don’t eat too much junk food or unhealthy diet. To maintain your summer skin or to rebuild your skin in winter, you must follow a proper diet chart. Consume fruits and apply fruit mask.
Eat as many fruits as you could eat like pomegranate, banana, kiwi, oranges, apples, etc. It will good for your health as well as give a glow to your skin. Your eating habits will reflect on your face so remember you are what you eat.
5. Restrict the temperature of your shower
Chilly season leads either to a none bathing day or a too-long bath with hot showers. But do remember if you take a very long and a hot shower then it will damage your skin. It is better to restrict or limit your water temperature.
Use lukewarm water for bathing. Also after bathing pat the towel and don’t rub your skin dry. Apply a body oil before the shower to keep the moisture and follow up with a body cream or moisture.
6. Stay hydrated
Generally, in winters, we forget to drink water. But it will really affect our skin and dehydrate our body. Like in summers, drinking an appropriate amount of water is a must. So keep sipping to assure your skin doesn’t dry out. Like applying moisture, drinking water is a good idea like that.
7. Apply sunscreen
During summer we mostly apply Sunscreen to keep our skin safe from the rays of the sun. So don’t stop applying during winters too. As sun rays during these months are much more harmful than usual rays and UV rays permeate through the clouds even on dark days.
8. Opt for fragrance-free products
Products with fragrance lead to itchiness and redness. Not only this it dries out the skin at a much quicker rate than normal. So it’s best for you to not opt for fragrance products to keep skin safe. It must be a fragrance-free winter this time.
As our skin gets dry, apply cold cream or moisture more often. Heretofore, We wash our hands a lot so it’s best to moist it every time. It helps our skin from flaking and drying out.
10. Avoid alcohol-based products
Drinking alcohol in winters and using alcohol products are two different things. In winter it’s better to avoid alcohol-based products as this tends to peel our skin of it’s natural would and hydration. And also if your skin gets strip then apply petroleum jelly on chapped, dry and brittle skin can help heal it and seal the cracks well.
